Dr. Ewa J. Antczak is a registered school psychologist with many years of experience. She developed Ideal Me program for youths, their parents and teachers that focuses on teaching the key concepts that are critical for a children’s future success, such as a realistic understanding of strengths and limitations and a consistent desire for self-improvement. The goal is to help and encourage youths to build the capacity to interact with others in a way that shows respect for their ideas and behaviors through cooperation and tolerance in many different and even challenging social situations. Dr. Ewa Antczak coaches parents and educators so they can focus their efforts on the development of each child’s inner core strength and on providing them with the tools they need to maintain self-confidence. The goal is to teach children that they must strive to surpass themselves—rather than others–and that other children are in fact their partners in this effort. This approach creates in an identity based on one’s own achievements. In this way, these are children are able to make themselves the measure of their success, whether it is in the classroom or in sports. Dr. Ewa J. Antczak is an author and co-author of several research papers that are related to psychopathology, attitude change and narrative mode of thinking. She is also an author of several chapters in the handout on social advertisement: Propaganda of good hearts – handout on social advertisement.
Dr. Ewa J. Antczak has presented at many conferences, professional development sessions, as well as workshops and trainings. Dr. Ewa J. Antczak is affiliated with the Ontario Psychological Association where she is a member of Section on Psychology in Education (SecPe). She is a chair of the Learning Disability Intensive Support Programing Committee, and a member of a Learning Disability Programming Recommendations Committee, as well as an Alternative Curriculum and Assistive Technology Committees.
Dr. Ewa J. Antczak is affiliated with pre-doctoral psychology internship consortium and for many years, she has been providing supervision for practicum and internship students at the Toronto Catholic District School Board. Since 2001, she has been working as an Assistant Professor at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities where she was teaching courses on Psychology of Personality, Cognitive Psychology, Social Psychology, Psychology of Emotion and Motivation, and Statistics. Dr. Ewa J. Antczak also provides services in polish, her native language.
